Psoriasis

Psoriasis is a skin condition where the immune system causes inflammation in the skin to cause red plaques or psoriasis. There are several different types of psoriasis, Plaque psoriasis, guttate psoriasis, palmoplantar pustular psoriasis and pustlar psoriasis. It commonly effects the elbows, front of knees, scalp, lower back and around the navel (belly button area). Psoriasis is not contagious and has no cure.

Psoriasis is treated with topical treatments and using ultraviolet B light and ultraviolet A light and there are no oral and injected medications which may treat Psoriasis.
